Villa Fiorelli
Loto Ad Project carries out an important restyling and redistribution of the spaces of a small apartment in Rome.
The architect Giorgia Dennerlein rethinks the interiors and outdoor spaces of the apartment from a functional perspective. The project focuses on living spaces: the terrace, facing south and now covered by a KE pergola, becomes an extension of the living area, ideal for every season and designed to be as comfortable as an interior.
The spaces of the home effectively double in size, guaranteeing the apartment a unique charm and a larger environment.
Bedroom, free-standing kitchen with dining corner, indoor/outdoor living room with kitchen and tropical garden. All enclosed in a few square meters.
The masterly art of wood – oak in this case – has made every corner highly functional, creating a bookcase from the side of the kitchen, an entrance through a wooden cube, a passage out of a platform. Natural fabrics and wallpapers create a relaxed mood that envelops and welcomes. Young and fresh like the owner’s personality.
In the bedroom, the wallpaper simulates a glass wall that recalls the theme of connection with the outside, also taken up in the living room by the round MOOOI Extinct Animals rug by the artist Ada Sokół.
Here, sofa and amrchairs are by EDRA and MOROSO, giving the room an idea of comfort thanks to the enveloping shapes and fabrics. On the walls, the facades of the buildings from the EUR district captured by the photographer Carlo d’Orta and printed on plexiglass supports, provide an original and unprecedented look at the city.
Continuing outside, the area proposes typical interior elements. The oak takes the form of a warm and elegant wall-mounted slat, which forms a backdrop to the TALENTI outdoor kitchen. The remaining walls are covered with outdoor wallpaper in shades of gray that enhances the rich green corner with tropical plants of every species set up in Cassero monobloc vases designed by Patricia Urquiola for SERRALUNGA. The custom-made sofa is also green, on the ELITIS circular rug. Calypso floor lamps by CONTARDI illuminate – and furnish – the outdoor living area.
